Having fallen in love at first sight with this gracious Victorian Inn we sold up all our worldly possessions and moved from Cambridge, England to Vermont. Not as simple a process as it may sound as anyone who has had to deal with a Visa application will be aware, but the wait and the worry were worth it as we now get to “live the dream”! We seem to tell the story daily over breakfast to interested guests…why not ask us – we never get tired of telling it!

We became the new owners in March 2005 and still “on honeymoon” (married June 2004 after a respectable 10 year courtship!) we ploughed heart and soul into renovating and refurbishing. Having both had people oriented careers in sales and marketing, we were instantly comfortable with the charming guests attracted to our Inn and the pretty little town of Chester. All other aspects of the inn keeping profession have been an exponential learning curve… however we now think we have it just about right. Our philosophy is a simple one, our guests become “our family” and many are now true friends. We will do all we can to make you stay with us comfortable and enjoyable and we will always attend to any queries immediately and with good humor. We know that you will “fall in love” with Inn Victoria as we did…….and it’s the perfect place to rediscover your own romance.
